Why it’s good to know who our visitors are and what they want

 

Everyone is welcome in Mid Wales but we have identified four key audiences to focus upon: 

• Discoverers - seeking freedom. They are often active empty nesters, or spirited independently minded couples who relish the freedom of the hills and the charm of the villages. Discoverers enjoy relaxation, country walks and they appreciate fine dining and quality accommodation at the end of a great day. 

• Explorers - Explorers seek adventure. They like to go off the beaten track and are excited by new challenges, aiming to achieve a first or a personal best. Explorers enjoy activities such as mountain walking, cycling, driving, riding, gorge walking, bog snorkling, hang gliding and canoeing. 

• Families – seeking variety. Family groups with members of different ages enjoy diverse, fun filled experiences that create happy and long lasting holiday memories of valuable time well spent together. 

• Artisans – seeking creativity. Strong, independently minded people, artisans are attracted by alternative experiences. They are inspired by culture and craft. Artisans enjoy authentic experiences, including photography, creative writing, painting and sculpture.
